National Nurse of the Year 2017

2017 NOTY KESTo recognize the significant contribution, hard work, and dedication of our nation’s 2.8 million registered nurses, Kelly Services is honoring Alina Martinez, LVN as our 2017 Nurse of the Year. Ms. Martinez was selected for her commitment to customer satisfaction, ability to build strong patient relationships, and nursing expertise.

A licensed vocational nurse for 13 years, Ms. Martinez joined Kelly in 2013 as a nurse on assignment with a local company that manages vehicle logistics operations, planning and administration. In this role, she provides emergency and first aid care and case management support for more than 200 employees, educates the workforce on a variety of health-related topics, and participates on the ergonomics and safety committees.

“My role as an onsite nurse provides many opportunities for me to demonstrate my skills and talent in patient care and education, and has enabled me to build strong relationships with my patients and make a difference in their lives,” said Alina Martinez. “I am honored to be recognized as Nurse of the Year by Kelly, and appreciate the continued support of the Kelly staff and my patients.”

Ms. Martinez earned her licensed vocational nursing degree from the American Career College in Los Angeles, CA.

“We appreciate Alina’s commitment to the nursing community and to making a difference in her patients’ lives,” said Grace Fortuna, chief clinical officer, Kelly Services. “She is an excellent example of someone who is passionate about her career as an occupational health nurse, and we are grateful that she is part of the Kelly team.”

Kelly Services established its National Nurse of the Year award in 2007 to recognize an employee for their outstanding work in the healthcare industry based on performance feedback from customers.
