Since 1995, Kelly® has provided dedicated scientific staffing and placement services to a broad spectrum of industries around the globe in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions, including: biotechnology, chemical, consumer products, cosmetics, diagnostic/medical laboratory, environmental science/health and safety, food/beverage, medical science, clinical research, medical device, petrochemical/energy, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical.

Today, Kelly maintains a network of company-owned and operated branch offices throughout the world. The scientific teams within our branch offices are staffed and managed by seasoned scientific professionals—more than 67 percent of staff members hold science degrees, with more than 20 percent holding multiple or advanced degrees.

Kelly has developed strong relationships within the scientific communities at the local, national, and global levels. We are affiliated with numerous industry associations and societies, including the American Chemical Society, Association for Clinical Research Professionals, Drug Information Association, Royal Australian Chemical Institute, Royal Society of Chemistry, Royal Pharmaceutical Association, L’APEC, L’ANPE, Institute of Food Technologies, Society of Cosmetics Chemists, American Society for Cell Biology, American Society of Clinical Chemistry, American Society of Microbiology, and Society of Clinical
Research Associates.

Milestones

  • In 2011, Kelly had 8,500 scientific employees working on an average daily basis at client locations worldwide. Kelly scientific contract employees worked nearly 9.7 million total hours last year, while another 1,775 scientific employees were hired directly by Kelly customers.
  • In 2008, Kelly reorganized its clinical research business into one centralized operation to offer clients the highest quality of clinical research staffing support. Kelly also provides specialty services for direct placement, project solutions, outsourcing, and consulting.
  • In 2003, Kelly won a contract with the National Institute of Health and remains the only provider of scientific talent, from bench-level scientists to chief-level scientists, to the world’s most prestigious government research organization.
  • Established in 2000, the Kelly Future Scientist Program helps connect entry-level science students with jobs, internships, and research opportunities at major chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotech companies in the United States. Kelly places more than 300 science students annually; program interns worked over 120,000 hours in 2012.
